Wow. I did not expect to love this book as much as I did.
My love of celebrity memoirs runs DEEP. I tend to choose audiobooks written and narrated by comedians but I’ve never listened to once quite like this. “A Very Punchable Face” is full of hilarious anecdotes and very unexpected sweet sincerity. It is by far the best I’ve ever listened to.
Colin Jost had me laughing, crying, and staring at my phone screen in disbelief at stories that are so outrageous I can’t believe they all happened to one person. Related: is there a trigger warning for poop content?
If you enjoyed “Bossypants” or “Yes, Please” there is no way you won’t love this book. It was certainly worth the wait I put myself through — I accidentally ordered the e-book from my library instead of the audiobook and had to wait another THREE months for it to be available.
Put on your headphones and find some laundry to fold for 7 hours. It’ll be the best time you ever had doing chores.
